What does Mane Project mean?

How do I place an order?
- Browse through the site until you find the item you wish to purchase.
- From the product page select the size / colour you’d like and click “add to basket” to add it to your cart.
- You may continue shopping and adding more items to your basket for purchase or checkout at this stage.
- To checkout click the 'view basket' link on the top of the right nav.
- Once you’ve added all the items that you wish to purchase to your basket, you can begin the checkout process. This process involves 4 steps; verify your order, shipping information, billing information and place your order. You will then receive an order confirmation email. When your order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail with final shipping details.
Is it possible to change something on my order after it has been confirmed?
If you decide you want to change something with your order please contact us immediately. We generally process our orders within 24 hours. Once you receive an email confirming your order has been dispatched there is nothing we can do sorry.
If an item is out of stock is it likely to be re-stocked?
From time to time we do re-stock styles if there is demand, you are best to contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org in regards to the particular style you are after. Alternatively we might have restocked a garment if another customer has returned it so keep checking our website. You could also check our other online stockists which are listed here.
How do I know what size would fit me best?
Have a look at our size guide which outlines the measurements each size is made to fit. For measurements of a particular garment please look at the measurements tab which can be found on each product. If you have a particular question around the fit of a garment please email us at email@example.com we will be more than happy to assist you.

What payments do you accept?
Credit card payments and payment through your PAYPAL account. You do not have to be a PAYPAL customer to pay by PAYPAL using your credit card. We accept most credit cards. We also accept Laybuy, when paying through Laybuy your purchase will be dispatched immediately and payments split over 6 weeks.
Is the site secure, will my credit card details be safe?
Yes the checkout process is secured by PAYPAL. We do not record credit card details; all credits cards are processed by PAYPAL which uses the latest SSL technology to keep your information safe, one of the world's most secure payment methods.
How much does shipping cost and do you ship internationally?
Shipping within NZ is free! There are 2 options for shipping to Australia, if you select free shipping, your parcel will be tracked and delivered in 3-10 days. If you would like your parcel sooner, select international courier which will cost $15NZD and arrive to you in 2-6 working days. For all other international orders, the cost is $35NZD, please allow 4-10 working days worldwide. Delivery is not available to rural addresses so please arrange an alternative address if this is the case. Please note Mane Project store has no control over any customs or import duties that could be levied when the package reaches your destination country and for which you will be liable.
How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email which will include your tracking details. You can track your order by using the tracking number provided on the courier company's website.
Does my order require a signature on delivery?
Yes, our courier companies require a signature upon delivery for both national and international orders. If you would like your order to be left at an address without being signed for please let us know and we can instruct the courier to do so.
My tracking says my order has been delivered but I haven’t received it. What do I do?
Please email us as at email@example.com if your garment does not arrive within the expected delivery time frame. Our next step will be to lodge an enquiry with the relevant postal service. The postal service will then get in touch with you as soon as possible with an update.
It is important to make sure you fill in your correct address when ordering from us. We cannot accept responsibility for the wrong address being used with an order.
It is safer if you can have your items delivered when you are present, so please provide a secure daytime delivery address where possible.
Do you ship to PO Boxes?
No, unfortunately we are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or NZ Post Parcel Pods sorry.
How will my purchase be packaged?
Your purchase will arrive to you wrapped in tissue paper. It will be packaged in a home compostable courier envelope. These behave like plastic, except when left in nature, they then biodegrade in 3-6 months.
What is your return/exchange policy?
If you are unhappy with our products in any way, it can be exchanged provided that it is in sellable condition and was not purchased on sale.
We do not accept returns on sale stock sorry.
Subject to stock availability, we will exchange items that are returned to us within 7 days of being received by you. Please advise us upon receipt of your purchase if you wish to exchange. Please note that all extra postage costs incurred in an exchange are payable by you and return of the new item is subject to us receiving the extra postage costs incurred. Once this is received the new item will be posted immediately.
If you wish to return your item for an exchange these items need to be returned and reach us within 7 days of being received by you. If you return the product any later than the 7 day time slot, you will have up to 14 days (an extra 7 days) from the date of you receiving the goods in which to be issued with an Mane Project Credit Note to the value of the item at the time of purchase. Mane Project credit notes are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and can be redeemed on the Mane Project web store. If you want to purchase from the site with your Credit Note please contact us before making your purchase at firstname.lastname@example.org .
Returns of faulty items will only be accepted if the goods were faulty when delivered to you; we at Mane Project take every effort to check your purchase thoroughly for any faults before sending them out to you. All items returned as faulty will be inspected on receipt and any items deemed to subject to fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty. We will replace a faulty item if a replacement is in stock and available. If you wish to be sent a replacement, please make your request clear when contacting email@example.com about the fault. Returns of faulty goods must be returned to us within 14 days of being received by you. In case we cannot offer you a replacement, you will have the choice of receiving a credit note or a refund to the value of the item at the time of purchase and any shipping costs incurred.
Returns & exchanges received outside the above time frames will not be accepted. For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the return of the products to us. Please be aware that international customs duties and sales taxes are not refunded for shipments outside New Zealand.
We will only accept returns provided that the goods in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you. If you do not return the goods delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you. We will not accept returns for any non-faulty items that have been worn and tags removed. We are unable to exchange or refund worn, laundered or customer damaged goods.
Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been delivered without tags, you should notify us by email on the same day. We strongly advise all customers to check garments thoroughly upon delivery before removing any attached tags and before disposing of any original packaging.
All items must be returned in a secure and waterproof courier bag. We recommend using a tracked service as Mane Project cannot take responsibility for lost packages. Until your return is received by Mane Project, it is your responsibility.

Mane Project collects customer information so that we can process your orders as efficiently as possible. All your information is kept secure and we will not disclose or share this information to other parties under any circumstances.

Why do I need to provide a phone number on my order?
Our courier companies require a phone number incase they need to get hold of you regarding delivery. This information is kept secure and we will not disclose or share this information to other parties under any circumstances.
Are the garments colourfast?
Absolutely, our garments are either hand screen printed, hand block printed or dyed using fibre reactive, low-impact dyes which are AZO free and heavy metal free. All inks used are colour fastened by our artisans. We recommend laundering using a cold machine wash to ensure optimum quality is maintained, you can read more about our recommended care guide here.
